Title:
METHOD FOR STABILIZING REDUCED COENZYME Q10
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3892881
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing reduced coenzyme Q10 which is useful in foods with nutrient function claims, foods for specific health uses, and the like, to provide a method for preserving the same, and so on, and to provide a process for efficiently obtaining the reduced coenzyme Q10 with good qualities by an industrially adequate method.
SOLUTION: This method for stabilizing the reduced coenzyme Q10, comprising allowing the reduced coenzyme Q10 and an ascorbic acid compound to coexist, is characterized by performing the coexistence in the presence of a monohydric or dihydric alcohol and/or a water-soluble solvent except the alcohol and using the monohydric or dihydric alcohol and/or the water-soluble solvent except the alcohol in an amount of ≥5 wt.% in the total mixture. A reduced coenzyme Q10-containing composition is characterized by comprising a reduced coenzyme Q10, an ascorbic acid compound, and a monohydric or dihydric alcohol and/or a water-soluble solvent except the alcohol, and using the monohydric or dihydric alcohol and/or the water-soluble solvent except the alcohol in an amount of ≥5 wt.% in the total mixture.
