Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome such a defect that in a conventional method for stabilizing a size of lumber, when used outdoors or in the open air, water retained by a water absorbing water retentive agent is warmed by a heat of direct sunshine and expanded to peel off an epoxy resin layer becoming a waterproof layer of the lumber.
SOLUTION: In a method for stabilizing the size of lumber, an epoxy resin is coated on a surface of lumber, a ceramic grain is sprinkled over the surface and fixed. After polishing an irregularity of the ceramic grain, a white ceder oil is applied to the ceramic grain and finished. Further, fragrance is made to permeate the polished ceramic. Then tourmaline grain is sprinkled over a surface of the epoxy resin and solidified.
