Title:
METHOD FOR STABILIZING ZING ON AROMATIZATION CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01213239
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively and industrially advangeously convert a 2-12C non- aromatic hydrocarbon into aromatic one by adding nonmetallic oxides or specified sulfides to the feed to prevent elution of zinc from the zinc-contg. zeolite catalyst and bringing the catalyst into contact with 2-12C non-aromatic hydrocarbon.

CONSTITUTION: In the process converting 2-12C non-aromatic hydrocarbon to aromatic one by being brought into contact with a zinc contg. zeolite catalyst in a conversion zone, nonmetallic oxides such as carbon dioxide, steam, silicon oxide, nitrogen dioxide, dinitrogen monoxide, etc., or sulfides (but organic sulfur compds. or inorganic sulfur compds. exept H2S) such as thiophene, sulfer dioxide, carbon disulfide, dimethyl sulfide, dimethy disulfide, etc., are added to the feed in 0.05-20 wt.% of the feed to prevent elution of zinc from the zinc-contg. catalyst. By the process the life of catalyst is prolonged and it is enabled to stabilize the metal zinc in relatively cheap zeolite catalyst.
