Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce formation of ammonia in a steam reforming process of hydrocarbons without giving bad influences on the whole process efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: In the catalytical steam reforming method of a nitrogen-contg. carbonaceous feedstock while decreasing the formation of ammonia, the feedstock is brought into contact with a nickel-deposited catalyst which further contains 0.001 to 10 wt.% of copper based on the amt. of nickel in the catalyst.
