To provide a method for steelmaking through molten iron in a blast furnace by use of a converter, in which the charged molten iron is made high purity, by efficiently executing desiliconizing, dephosphorizing and desulfurizing treatments to silicon-containing molten iron and making the best use of the generated heat source.
This steelmaking method is constituted with a first process, in which the molten iron tapped from the blast furnace is changed into the combination-blown converter and the desiliconizing treatment is executed and the produced desiliconized slag is removed, a second process, in which the dephosphorizing and the desulfurizing treatment are executed to the diesiliconized molten iron remaining in the converter and a third process, in which decarburizing treatment is executed after changing the dephosphorized and desulfurized molten ion tapped into a ladle from the converter into a separately prepared combination-blown converter from a ladle.
