PURPOSE: To economically supply sanitary and safe water to a consumption group non-steadily consuming a large amt. of tap water in an easily controllable manner by guiding the water in a water receiving tank to a sterilizer only when the water in the water reciving tank is stagnated for a predetermined time or more.
CONSTITUTION: The water of a water receiving tank 1 is pumped up by a storage pump 2 and supplied to a house-to-house water supply pipe 5 while the integrated flow rate of the water is measured by a flow rate measuring and integrating device 3. The water receiving tank 1 is connected to a sterilizer 4 and the flow rate measuring and integrating device 3 is electrically connected to the sterilizer 4 and a pump 7. For example, the three-hr integrated quantity of the use amount of water in the house- to-house water supply pipe 5 is measured and, when the measured value reaches 4.8m3 or less, the flow rate measuring and integrating device 3 sends a signal to start the operation of the pump 7 and the sterilizer 4. When a predetermined sterilizing time is elasped or a flow rate is restored to a definite value, a signal is again sent from the flow rate measuring and integrating device 3 to stop the sterilizer 4 and the pump 7. When the use amount of water is a definite value or less for a long period of time, a series of these operations are repeatedly performed.
