Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a gushingly raising flow developed over a wide range of molten metal surface in the molten metal held in a cylindrical holding vessel.
SOLUTION: In a stirring method of the molten metal 3 held in the holding vessel 1 having the cylindrical shape on the inner side surface 1b, the inner wall bottom surface 1a of the holding vessel is formed as the ruggedness shape so as to generate driving force with the friction of the molten metal fluidized along the inner wall bottom surface of the holding vessel. Magnetic field moved in the horizontal direction along the side surface of the holding vessel to the molten metal in the holding vessel, is impressed by using a movable magnetic field generating device 2 disposed at the outer part of the holding vessel.
