Abstract:

To stabilize the temperature of a reformed gas in the inlet side of a CO shift catalyst of a hydrogen production apparatus.

The hydrogen production apparatus is constituted so as to have a reforming catalyst layer, a supply means for discharging a hydrocarbon based fuel to the inlet side of the reforming catalyst layer, a CO shift catalyst layer provided in the outlet side of the reforming catalyst layer, a plurality of steam generators provided in a reformed gas flow passage between the reforming catalyst layer and the CO shift catalyst layer and for vaporizing waste supplied from the outside, a pipe line for supplying the steam generated in each steam generator to the inlet side for the reforming catalyst layer and a control part for switching the number of the steam generators corresponding to the load.
