PURPOSE: To alleviate labor with the titled device in a department store or the like by storing arriving commodities sorted on a temporary storage transfer cart in a temporary storage location and by performing the transfer between the temporary storage transfer cart in the temporary storage location and a scale floor either by transshipment to a supplement transfer cart or directly with the temporary storage transfer cart.

CONSTITUTION: Commodities arriving on a commodity reception transfer cart C into a warehouse of a store are sorted on a work table R and put into a tray D. A temporary storage transfer cart A is moved onto the work table R. the tray D holding the sorted commodities is loaded on the cart A which is then moved to a temporary storage location Q and is made to wait. Preparing a commodity supplement transfer cart (not shown) between the location Q and a sale floor on the other hand, the commodities in the temporary storage location Q are transferred either by transshipping from the cart A to the prepared cart or directly with the cart A to a commodity rack in the sale floor. Labor can be alleviated with this constitution.
