Abstract:

To provide a method for storing and/or transporting a diphenylmethane-based isocyanate composition by which excellent storage stability in low temperature region is achieved and a polyurethane resin having desired various properties after purification/reaction is provided; and to provide a method for producing diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and a polyphenylene-polymethylene-polyisocyanate produced from the diphenylmethane-based isocyanate composition.

The method for storing and/or transporting a composition after adding monochlorobenzene to the diphenylmethane-based isocyanate composition is provided. The composition has the storage stability until a prescribed time passes. The diphenylmethane-based isocyanate is separated by removing the monochlorobenzene from the composition, and the MDI and the polyphenylene-polymethylene-polyisocyanate can be separated/purified from the separated diphenylmethane-based isocyanate.
