Abstract:

To provide a method for straightening a steel sheet having different thickness by which the deformation of a tapered portion of the steel sheet having different thickness, whose shape changes in its thickness direction, can be straightened surely without using any high-speed rolling-reduction cylinder even when the sheet passing speed is high.

In the method for straightening a steel sheet having different thickness by the rolling reduction using a pair of upper and lower work rolls, the sheet passing speed at a tapered portion of the steel sheet having different thickness is set to be lower (preferably, a value to satisfy the formula (A)) than that in a flat portion. The formula (A) is given by TV=(K1/(α-K3))+K2 (A), where α(≥0) : taper ratio, and K1-K3: constants to be determined by the specification of a straightening machine.
