PURPOSE: To analyze the operation data of a computer system by a personal computer on a network by providing a means for converting operation records stored in the operation data file of the computer system to a tabular format so as to be handled by a table calculation software.
CONSTITUTION: A command inputted from a keyboard 6 is interpreted in a command interpretation processing program 13 and a request block 10 to the computer system 1 is prepared. The request block is transferred to the computer system 1 by a transfer processing program 14. The computer system 1 adds data extracted from the operation data file 2 and returns them to a controller 4 by a conversion processing program 21 for extraction data. The file transfer processing program 14 of the controller 4 successively stores the records from the one following after a format record to the one received at last in a tabular format storage file 8. Then, the table calculation software operated in the controller 4 is used and the data of the tabular format storage file 8 are analyzed.
