To provide a method for supplying a belt-like rubber material which omits a process to cut a rubber material in the form of a slit, diminishes the scope of a work to connect the terminals of the rubber materials and can significantly upgrade the supply workability of the material and the productivity of an extruder, and a device using this method.
In this device, a cutting device 5 which forms a continuous narrow material by incising(K) the belt-like rubber material W at a specified interval and alternately askew in the longitudinal direction from both sides of the width and is mounted on a mobile truck 4, and a supply conveyor 7 such as a belt conveyor, the units of which are connected with each other through a tension adjusting means 6 like a festoon, are installed between a material supply part 1 and an extruder 2. The cutting device 5 has a flat roll 9 and a spiral cutter roll 10 mounted in parallel and close proximity to each other on a frame 8 through supporting shafts 9a and 10a.
