PURPOSE: To obtain a molten metal supplying method by which the molten metal supplying quantity at each casting cycle can stably be decided, by promoting gas exhaust at the time of supplying the molten metal into a plunger sleeve, in a die casting machine in which the molten metal from a molten metal discharging chamber is supplied directly into the plunger sleeve and also a molten metal supplying hole is closed with a plunger tip and the molten metal supplying quantity is decided and pressed into a die cavity and on the other hand, the gas in the cavity and the plunger sleeve is exhausted to execute the casting.
CONSTITUTION: Separately from a gas vent gap E between a kissing surfaces of the dies 1 composed of a movable die 2 and a fixing die 3, a gas vent hole 11 communicating the base end part of the gas vent gap E with the outer part and including a slide valve 12 for opening/closing the inner end part 11a is arranged in the one side of the movable die 2. This gas vent hole 11 is opened at the time of supplying the molten metal into the plunger sleeve 4, and closed at the time of pressing the molten metal M into the cavity C in the dies 1 after closing the molten metal supplying hole 4b in the plunger sleeve 4.
