Abstract:
To provide a method for suppressing combustion of magnesium dust by which the combustion of the magnesium dust can effectively be suppressed without any cost in maintenance since there is no danger of moisture absorption as in conventional Mg powder.
The combustion surface of magnesium dust is covered with mixed gas prepared by mixing a noble gas to nitrogen gas in the proportion of 20 to 40%, thereby suppressing the combustion of the magnesium dust.
