Abstract:
To inhibit heat generation by reducing a percentage content of components contributing to oxidation of fuel consisting of a carbon-based solid fuel.SOLUTION: By reducing a carboxyl group (COOH group) with borane on a surface of a carbon-based solid fuel, the COOH group is changed to an OH group and CHto form a carbon-based solid fuel (reduction-treated carbon-based solid fuel) changed in its properties so that the components contributing to oxidation of a surface of the carbon-based solid fuel are reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
