Title:
METHOD OF SUPPRESSING PRESSURE RISE IN LOW TEMPERATURE LIQUEFIED GAS TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5496819
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress pressure rise in a tank without power by introducing boiled- off gas in a low temperature liquefied gas tank having high pressure into the liquid state portion in another low temperature liquefied gas tank by the aid of the pressure in the former tank. CONSTITUTION:Two units of low temperature liquefied gas tanks 5A, 5B are installed in parallel, and the boiled-off gas state portion 7A or 7B of one tank 5A of 5B communicates to the liquid state portion 6B or 6A of the other tank 5B or 5A through a communicating pipe 8A or 8B connected respectively to gas discharging pipe 9A or 9B. As the pressure of boiled-off gas state portion 7A is raised, the gas is discharged into the liquid state portion 6B in another tank 5B from the discharge pipe 9A through the communicating pipe 8A. This discharged gas agitates the liquid state portion 6B to reduce the surface temperature and is introduced into the liquid state portion to reduce the pressure in the tank 5B, and the pressure in the tank 5A is reduced by the discharge of the gas.
