Abstract:
To obtain a thermoplastic resin excellent in coatability, printability and adhesiveness by surface-modifying a thermoplastic by subjecting it to corona discharge treatment under specified conditions.
A thermoplastic resin is surface-modified by subjecting it to high-frequency corona discharge treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting or softening point of the resin. It is more effective and desirable that the high-frequency corona discharge treatment is performed in combination with ozone treatment. Although not limited, the thermoplastic resin used is desirably a polyolefin resin because of its marked effect.
