Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for efficiently supporting data calls to wireless transmit receive units (WTRUs) in systems that also support telephony.SOLUTION: A WTRU 22 receives a first signal on a downlink control channel. It associates the first signal with schedule information, and receives user data on a downlink shared channel at an assigned time interval occurring repeatedly on the basis of the schedule information. The WTRU receives a second signal. In response to the second signal, it receives user data at an unassigned time interval occurring repeatedly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
