Abstract:

To provide a method which synchronizes transmission through a channel in a wireless communication network which is equipped with an instrument and a plurality of coordinators within the transmission range of the instrument.

A superframe is defined to include a beacon period, an access competition period and a non-competed period. The beacon period contains a plurality of slots. In each of the coordinators, a specific beacon slot which does not collide with a beacon slot selected by the other coordinator is selected. Subsequently, beacons are transmitted to the instrument with coordinators in time periods relevant to the selected slots.
