Abstract:

To provide a method for oxidizing a new olefin by using a supercritical carbon dioxide and an ionic liquid as a reaction site.

The method for oxidizing an olefinic hydrocarbon comprises synthesizing a carbonyl compound, an epoxide compound, a carbonate compound, a carboxylic acid compound, etc., by carrying out oxidation reaction of an olefinic hydrocarbon using oxygen as an oxidizing agent in the presence of an inorganic oxide catalyst by using supercritical or subcritical carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide under pressure not lower than ordinary pressure and an ionic liquid as a reaction site. As a result, a carbonate can be synthesized in one-pot from an olefin by direct oxidation with oxygen and carbon dioxide immobilization.
