Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a crystalline aluminosilicate useful for the conversion of an org. matrix and as a molecular sieve by hydrothermally crystallizing a gel contg. sources of tetravalent silicon, a zeolite Y in the form of spheres and an alkali metal in the presence of an org. structuring agent.

CONSTITUTION: A crystallizable gel contg. a source of tetravalent silicon, a source of trivalent aluminum, a source of alkali metal ions, an org. structuring agent and water is prepd. and crystallized by heating. The formed crystals are isolated, washed, dried, heat-treated in a moist atmosphere and digested with an inorg. acid. The source of trivalent aluminum is zeolite Y crystals in the form of spheres or a bunch of grapes. In such a way, the objective silica- enriched crystalline aluminosilicate having the structure of mazzite is produced.
