Various digital data are stored in a digital archive system and data to be used as material data for exhibition video images are downloaded from the digital data stored in the digital archive system to a server for exhibition video images for storage. Order of transmission of the material data stored in the server for exhibition video images to an automatic editing system is allocated to the material data, and the material data are transmitted in sequence from the server for exhibition video images to the automatic editing system in the order of transmission. The material data transmitted from the server for video images to the automatic editing system is converted into video signals in a predetermined standard. The material data expressed as video signals in the predetermined standard are automatically edited to create exhibition video images according to preset edit data by the automatic editing system.
