A help desk stuff member(HDSM) interacts with the knowledge based system(KBS) through a terminal equipment, that is a personal computer 101. The KBS is provided with a user interface 103 for processing plural HDSM interactions and they are appropriately route specified to an example based inference module 105 for storing a solution previously obtained for a data base management system 106 for providing access to a problem data base 108 in the example storage device 107 of a data record or a relating application program 104 for making them access problem data or utilize the module 105. Ira such a manner, the KBS gives support by finding a previously solved similar problem.
