Abstract:
To provide a method and system for detecting wear of a linear motion actuator such as a pneumatic cylinder, a hydraulic cylinder or an electric cylinder.SOLUTION: A method for detecting wear of a linear motion actuator comprises: attaching a physical quantity detection sensor 9 to a linear motion actuator 1 in which a pushing/pulling member 12 connected to a rod 2 pushes/pulls an object to be pressurized while imparting a load in a lateral direction different from a linear motion direction; causing the physical quantity detection sensor to detect external force occurring between an attachment member 8 and a tube 4 upon pushing/pulling the object to be pressurized; and comparing the external force with reference external force data detected in a state where there is no abnormality, which is stored in an arithmetic storage determination processing device, to arithmetically determine whether to be a normal state or an abnormal state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
