PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining an eyeglass prescription for the eyes using, in particular, a non-transitory computer-readable medium.SOLUTION: A method includes steps of; providing a measurement indicative of refractive properties of the eyes (110); establishing an optimization space corresponding to a plurality of possible eyeglass prescriptions for the eyes (120); determining a merit function (140); and determining an eyeglass prescription by optimizing (150) a value of the merit function (160).
