To provide a information distribution method/system which can reduce the traffic load between a server and a client and also the server's load and can shorten the time when a screen is displayed to the client in place of a conventional information distribution system where the traffic is increased between the server and client since the information is acquired from the server for every screen of the client.

In this information distribution method/system, a client 3 is provided with a brand management table 35 which stores the brand information acquired from a server 2. When the brand information is requested by an optional screen process 42, a client data management process 41 outputs the brand information to the process 42 when the brand information is stored in the table 35. Meanwhile, the brand information is acquired from the server 2 and stored and also outputted to the process 42 when the information is not stored in the table 35.
