To clearly express an important part by dividing a color image into a prescribed number, selectively deciding the importance of each divided part and sorting them to image-process in a state like visualizing.
The color picture is divided into prescribed number, median- filtered for removing noise from an original image and averaging a texture as preprocessing and reduced in addition. After then area extraction is executed by clustering which roughly extract an area from color information and positional information is added to merge-process fine areas. Next the deciding processing of the importance of an object in each area is executed by fuzzy inference based on feature values in each area to sort according to the importance of each area after then. The feature values are a prominent thing easily noticed by people, a thing with special meaning or interest for an individual, a size (area), a position in the image, the state of collecting, an adjacent degree to the tip of the picture, the color of an area, etc.
