Abstract:
To provide a method and an apparatus for electrically generating the exposure scale of a laser imaging device, to eliminate drawbacks of conventional techniques.
A method for characterizing the exposure level in a platesetter comprises steps of exposing regions of a plate in different exposure levels by modulating the output of an exposure beam, and then analyzing the plate after be in development, to determine a desired exposure level of the plate on the platesetter, by referring to the regions receiving different exposure levels. In this way, the exposure test can be performed as part of the normal printing process. The plate exposure setting can be monitored at all times, throughout the manufacturing processes.
