Abstract:
To provide a method and a system for provisioning of a 2-way mobile communication unit that provide convenience for consumers and security for a service provider and a unit manufacturer.
A 2-way mobile communication unit 100 being an object of provisioning sets up a communication session to a provisioning server 120 via an intermediate server unit 108. Then a display device 102 of the 2-way mobile communication unit 100 of a user displays a plurality of entry and selection menus and when the user selects a service, the provisioning is conducted via a user interface 103. The user information, a selected function and a selected service are sent to the provisioning server unit, where they are properly processed.
