To provide a method and a system for guaranteeing the quality of a recycled mass that makes it possible to easily distinguish between true and counterfeit or fake recycled masses.
At a caster, the recycled mass is subjected to component analysis, and the results of the component analysis are associated with a casting lot sign indicating the casting lot of the recycled mass. Data on the results of the component analysis associated with the casting lot sign is sent to a user to whom the recycled mass is to be sent. A symbol indicating the composition range of the recycled mass and the casting lot sign are attached to the recycled mass, and the recycled mass is shipped to the user. When receiving the recycled mass from the caster, the user compares the casting lot sign and the symbol attached to the recycled mass with the data sent from the caster to determine whether the recycled mass is true or counterfeit.
