Abstract:

To localize a person around by measuring the person approaching fixed electrical appliances.

The method for localizing a person around equipped with fixed electrical appliances includes: a step 150 for measuring an electromagnetic field emitted by one or more of the fixed electrical appliances by means of a magnetometer carried by the person to be localized; a step 154 for identifying the fixed electrical appliance operating near the magnetometer by comparing the measured magnetic field with magnetic signatures recorded in advance in association with each electrical appliance located around; and a step 170 for localizing the person from items recorded in advance on information on the localization in the vicinity of the fixed electrical appliance identified by its magnetic signature.
