To provide a method and system for producing high quality clean granular ice containing no residual solute by removing solute adhering to produced ice surely and entirely using cleaning liquid and for performing dehydration perfectly in the ice carrying process.
An original liquid and a refrigerant flowing through a cooling tube 2 exchange heat under supercooled state to deposit particular ice crystals from the original liquid thus forming granular ice 20 which is then carried out. Ice slurry containing the granular ice 20 is introduced into an upper tubular body of the cooling tube 2 at a first flow rate and flowed at a second flow rate lower than the first flow rate in order to compact the granular ice 20 by the speed difference between the first and second flow rates. Cleaning liquid is supplied from above under compacted state thus spreading the cleaning liquid entirely to the granular ice 20.
