Abstract:
To provide a method and a system for measuring a flow velocity and/or a flow rate of urine, capable of being easily performed by a patient himself/herself, and excellent in measurement accuracy.SOLUTION: A method for measuring a flow velocity and/or a flow rate of discharged urine, includes recording an image of the discharged urine, determining an interval of axis-switching in the recorded image of the urine, and calculating one or both of the flow velocity and the flow rate from the determined interval of the axis-switching. A system for measuring a flow velocity and/or a flow rate of discharged urine, includes means for recording an image of the discharged urine, means for determining an interval of axis-switching in the recorded image of the urine, and means for calculating one or both of the flow velocity and the flow rate from the determined interval of the axis-switching.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
