Abstract:
To provide a method and system for modifying a position of a cursor in XR (extended reality).SOLUTION: A method determines depth information of a body part of a user. The user uses the body part for moving a cursor. The cursor is positioned at the end of a ray cast emanated from the user side. A head-mounted display is mounted on the head of the user. A first position of the cursor is determined. On the basis of the depth information of the body part and the first position, a second position of the cursor, which is different from the first position, is determined. The second position is used as a current position of the cursor. The current position is positioned at the end of the ray cast emanated from the user at the time. Accordingly, the cursor can be easily controlled for users different in body height or arm length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
