To provide a method and a system for effective point processing in financial services such as revolving payment, payment in installments, and loan by a credit card.
When a member buys goods in a member shop by revolving payment (101), sales data including his or her card number and sale proceeds are sent from a terminal of the member shop to a credit card system (102). When the member uses card loan on an automatic transaction machine (103), card loan performed data including his or her card number and a loan are sent from the automatic transaction machine to the credit card system (104). A remaining available loan is updated on the basis of these data, and points are calculated in monthly closing processing on the basis of the remaining available loan (105). Processing which gives a privilege to the member in accordance with point use registration (111) is performed (112).
