Fault information of each household electric appliance 1x in the user's house is obtained by a short-distance communication device 2x provided in the appliance and is transmitted to a domestic communication terminal 30 and is reported to an appliance repair accepting server 41 of a maker 40 through an information network 60 together with preliminarily obtained whereabouts information by the domestic communication terminal. The server 41 accepts fault request data to retrieve an electric appliances store database 42 and extracts stores, which have the whereabouts of the appliance in their territories and can repair it within a prescribed allowable repair period, and informs the user of them.
