To provide a method and system for the recovery of valuable elements in a cement calcination plant which enables an efficient recovery of valuable elements contained in exhaust gas and their recycle as resources, in the utilization of various types of wastes as a cement raw material and a heat energy source in the plant.
The method is employed in a cement calcination plant equipped with a kiln 1 calcining cement raw materials and a preheater 3 heating the cement raw materials preliminarily with exhaust gas discharged from the kiln 1. The method comprises the extraction of the exhaust gas of temperatures ranging from 200 to 800°C from the preheater 3 and recovering one or more valuable elements of lead, thallium, arsenic, cadmium, zinc, mercury and bromine from the exhaust gas.
