A client is made to select audition method/conditions, such as audition time, the compression level of sound data, the size of the sound data and the format of the sound data. Audition contents for selected desired music contents are transmitted via a communication network to the client to be auditioned, according to the selected audition conditions. A storage medium housing the music contents selected to be purchased by the client is delivered to a place specified by the client.
