Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow a computer go game device to calculate territories in a short time at the end of a game.
CONSTITUTION: In a first step S191, whether each point of a board is vacant or not is judged. In a second step S196-199, the content of a black territory counter is increased by 1 when in the 1st step a point is vacant and it is surrounded by the edge of the board or black stones, while the content of a white territory counter is increased by 1 when the point is surrounded by the edge or white stones. DAME (points which are not counted as a territory) is not counted neither into the white nor the black territory.
