Abstract:
PURPOSE: To use a present television receiver by receiving all transmitted signals, and reproducing a second signal set obtained by sampling a second image at a receiver side. CONSTITUTION: The second signal set of a second image among images is predicted at both sides 5 and 9 of a transmitter and a receiver. Then, the compressed set of signals extracted from the second signal set obtained by sampling the second image and the corresponding predicted signal set is generated, and the compressed signal set is transmitted at the transmitter side 5. Then, all the transmitted signals are received, and the second signal set is reproduced by the receiver side 9. Thus, the transmission and reception of a three- dimensional video image can be used by a present device.
