Abstract:
To provide a system for treating an alkyl sulfoxide-containing waste liquid, which is capable of treating the waste liquid in a reduced space and reduced steps without requiring a large amount of chemicals.
In a method for treating the alkyl sulfoxide-containing waste liquid, the alkyl sulfoxide-containing waste liquid is allowed to pass through a high-voltage discharge space in the presence of a gaseous component containing nitrogen and oxygen and then subjected to biological treatment.
