Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently transferring an extraneous gene into the early embryo of an oviparous animal without affecting embryogenesis, and to provide electrodes to be used therefor.
SOLUTION: The method for transferring an extraneous gene into the early embryo of an oviparous animal by electroporation technique is characterized by involving perpendicularly applying electrical pulse to the blastodisc or blastoderm of the above early embryo injected with a DNA. The electrodes to be used for the above method are also provided.
