Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease generation of dust by using a piping and a container for storage consisting of a specified metal material treated with a chem. polishing treatment when a polycarbonate resin pellet is transported and stored.
CONSTITUTION: A polycarbonate resin is pneumatically transported by using a piping made of an austenite stainless steel subjected to a chem. polishing treatment and is stored in a container made of the same material. There exists thereby no possibility of contamination caused by admixing of mineral particles based on a mineral abrasive used for mechanical abrasion and it is possible to minimize contamination generated in the piping and during transported and especially, it is useful to use it for optical applications wherein low dust is required. In addition, it is pref. that a resin powder or pellet is transported and stored in a sealed state without exposing it to the air by using a piping and a container for storage as this.
