Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transporting naphtha through a pipeline which is mainly used for transporting crude oil.
SOLUTION: A lot containing naphtha is transported through a pipeline, while being sandwiched between a head lot containing condensed liquid and a tail lot containing the condensed liquid. At an outlet of the pipeline, the lot containing naphtha is recovered during the period from the time that boundary area of the head lot containing the condensed liquid and the naphtha lot passes or has actually passed, to the time that boundary area of the naphtha lot and the tail lot containing the condensed liquid appears or has actually appeared.
