Abstract:
To provide a method for treating the distillation residue of phthalic anhydride with the capacity increased and by which the residue is transported and handled without any trouble.
The distillation residue formed when crude phthalic anhydride is refined by distillation is introduced into a molten steel 51 in a steel-making converter 50 and thermally decomposed.
