Abstract:
To provide a method for treating glass waste containing lead which easily and selectively recovers lead from glass waste containing lead oxide in simple treating equipment, detoxifies residual components, and recycles the glass component.
The lead is reduced to a metal and concentrated on the surface of the glass waste by the electrolytic reduction 11 of the glass waste 10 containing lead oxide in a fused salt, and after cooling the lead 13 is separated by dissolution in acid cleaning 12 of the surface of the glass waste with its surface having concentrated lead.
