PURPOSE: To prevent internal organs of scallops from sticking to a drying device and to improve natural force in combustion, by adding fats and oil to internal organs of scallops after a dehydrating and drying process, burning and incinerating.
CONSTITUTION: At a time when the water content of internal organs of scallops is reduced to ≤50wt.% in a dehydrating and drying process, fats and oils such as a waste animal oil in an amount of 3-10wt.% based on all the raw materials is added to internal organs, and heating, stirring and distillation under reduced pressure are followed. Adhesion of the internal organs to a kneader 1 with jacket heating and to a stirrer is not observed at all. The dehydrated and dried internal organs are thrown in a burning incinerator 2 and incinerated. steam or hot water obtained by a waste heat recovery boiler 3 is used as a heat source for dehydrating and drying to reduce a fuel consumption.
