There is provided an image processing apparatus that feeds and conveys the paper, has jam detection sensors 37 for detecting the conveying timing of the paper in a conveying path, and executes a series of control processing for forming an image on the paper and discharging the paper. The apparatus includes: an image processing control unit 10 for detecting paper jam by the jam detection sensors 37 and executing predetermined control according to the jam; and a displaying part 40 for executing notification for promoting to discard the jammed paper to a predetermined storage place according to a control signal of the image processing control unit 10 and a jam occurrence position.
