Abstract:
To provide a method for treating a laitance by suppressing the elution of hexavalent chromium and solidifying.
The treatment method is characterized by suppressing the elution of hexavalent chromium and solidifying the laitance by adding thereto a blast furnace slag powder in an amount of 10% or more and a reducing agent of 0.2-0.5%, both based on the weight of laitance. By this method, the laitance being an industrial waste and the blast furnace slag powder can be recycled as a useful concrete product in which the elution of hexavalent chromium is prevented and further, the problems in lack of an industrial waste disposal plant as well as in the hexavalent chromium elution can be solved simultaneously.
